After a winter and spring of attending fifteen day long classes on botany, plant pathology, soils, entomology and more, diagnostic sessions and practicums, plus a minimum of 60 hours of outreach service the 2013 Master Gardener interns are becoming Certified UConn Master Gardeners. Image

Windham County Master Gardeners graduated on October 4, 2013 at the Extension office in Brooklyn.

 The new master gardeners receive their official badges and certificates at graduation ceremonies taking place in the five locations where classes were offered this year.Image

On October 29 the Middlesex County class graduation was held at the Haddam Extension office.

 Members of the class held at the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford CT  will graduate this Sunday November 3, 2013,  Thursday November 7, is the date the Fairfield County class graduates at the Extension Office in Bethel and Friday November 8, the Hartford County class ceremonies will be held in  Zachs Community Room on the greater Hartford UConn campus.

As we welcome new certified Master Gardeners from the class of 2013 we look forward the the 2014 class which will start on Friday  January 3.

The deadline for applications for the program is Friday November 8, 2013.

Classes will be offered at the Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens in Stamford, the New London Extension Center in Norwich, the Litchfield Extension Center in Torrington, the Tolland County Extension Center in Vernon and the New Haven County class will be held at Edgerton Park in Hampden CT.
